Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams has been placed in the league’s concussion protocol and will not play Saturday against the New York Knicks, it was announced.

Adams suffered a blow to the head while defending Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid with 32 seconds remaining in the first overtime of a 119-117 triple overtime win over the 76ers. He continue to play, fouling out with 2:12 remaining in the third overtime.

Adams, who is averaging 13.7 points and 8.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game this season, will be re-evaluated Sunday.
