Woods could be out for six months after back operation
Tiger Woods has had back surgery to treat ongoing pain in his back and leg.
The 14-time major winner missed the Masters because of the injury and has not played tournament golf since the Dubai Desert Classic in February.
A statement on his website said that patients typically return to full activity after six months.
“When healed, I look forward living without the pain I have been battling so long,” Woods, 41, said.
