Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw returns to the bench for Gloucester for Saturday’s Challenge Cup semi-final at French Top 14 side La Rochelle.

The Cherry and Whites scrum-half has not played since injuring his ankle during Scotland’s Six Nations campaign.

Number nine Willi Heinz is also back as one of five changes to the starting XV, while Tom Savage comes into the pack.

David Halaifonua returns on the wing in place of Charlie Sharples, while Jacob Rowan and Ben Morgan join the back row.
