Kyrgios won his first career meetings with Djokovic, Nadal and Federer

Australia’s Nick Kyrgios upset world number two Novak Djokovic for the second time in a row to reach the quarter-finals at the BNP Paribas Open.

The 21-year-old 15th seed won 6-4 7-6 (7-3) – repeating his victory in their first meeting in Acapulco 12 days ago.

Kyrgios goes on to face the winner of the late match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the last eight.

Svetlana Kuznetsova beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-3 6-2 to reach the women’s semi-finals in Indian Wells.
